Our Story

The Resort, an Italian institution, has been family owned and operated for 47 years. Formerly known as The Rose Garden, the resort was purchased by John Vosilla Jr and family. With the expertise of Executive chef John Vosilla Sr., the Villa soon became known as a dining destination. Multitude of guests would travel from NYC on a hot summer’s day for homemade Sunday Pasta.

John Vosilla Jr was a great visionary. He pursued “going green” before corporations were environmentally conscious. He catered to destination weddings before they became trendy. The 4th generation of family is rejuvenating and renovating through local communities while retaining the Italian charm. Our mission is to sustain our local economy by patronizing local farms and businesses. The family remains committed to “Going Green in Green County”.

            Just minutes away from Hunter Mt and Ski Windham, the Villa offers discounts on lift tickets, and is a perfect Ski and Ride destination for couples and families. The Winter Season features contemporary sounds of pop, blues, rock, and live jazz.

During the “Taste of Italy in the Catskills”, the Villa continues to keep the Italian culture and tradition alive. As the last of the authentic Italian Resorts, the social season abounds with Italian and Italian American entertainment in our nightclub~Not only for Italians, but perfect for anyone wanting a flavor of Italy.
